Work Experience

Zuse Institute Berlin

Scientific Researcher

March 2018 — March 2026
  • Designed and developed FishExplorer, an open-source, multi-species and multimodal cellular atlas platform designed to support integrative and comparative analysis specifically of larval zebrafish and medaka brains.
  • Worked closely with a team of neurobiologists to ensure that the platform’s methodological design directly addressed their scientific questions.
  • Implemented a platform using open source libraries such as BabylonJs, MeteorJs, D3Js etc to visualize multiscale circuit models at different spatial scales using abstract representation of neurons and morphologies.

Theoplayer

Data Analyst

March 2017 — Feb 2018
  • Focused on the analytics of video player which handle billions of entries per month.
  • Worked on the performance enhancement of analytics clusters using Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana and Grafana in order to handle more than 10 billion entries per month.

IMEC

Student Researcher

Nov 2015 — Feb 2017

Designed and developed an expert guided machine learning platform in ImageJ that exposes state-of-the-art Support Vector Machines (SVM) and Structured Support Vector Machines (Struct SVM).

About Me

Hi, I am a research engineer at the Leibnitz Institute for Neurobiology, Magdeburg. I also offer consulting services focusing on developing a scalable, interactive platform for the analysis of large-scale neurobiological imaging data, specifically for neural circuit reconstruction and connectomics. My core expertise lies in unifying structural, functional, and anatomical datasets within a common spatial reference framework and making these complex data accessible to the broader scientific community using modern analysis and visualization techniques.
